SOTI is a four-week summer program designed for international occupational therapy (OT) students and practitioners who are interested in learning more about OT practice in the United States and around the world.
In this program, participants will:
- Gain an empowered understanding of OT in the United States through lectures and clinical site visits.
- Be introduced to occupational science and USC's cutting-edge research by our renowned faculty.
- Network with Los Angeles-based OTs practicing in both traditional and emerging practice areas.
- Develop global leadership and a global perspective of occupational therapy, health, and wellness by meeting peers from approximately 20 different countries.
The 2023 SOTI program will be held from June 29 - July 28, 2023 and will be offered as an in-person experience in Los Angeles. Tuition is $3950 USD, which includes the cost of housing and health insurance. All COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed carefully to ensure participant safety during the in-person program.
We will also offer the option to attend SOTI online for a reduced tuition fee of $700 USD. Some elements of SOTI (e.g., in-person clinical site visits, cultural exploration of Los Angeles) may not be accessible for those attending SOTI online.
