Applications are now open for Asia University’s 2027 OProSS-Africa Overseas Professional Self-Directed Learning Program!
Across 10,000 Kilometers, Learning Makes a Difference.
Since 2017, Asia University’s OProSS-Africa program has partnered with the Amitofo Care Centre (ACC) to provide educational activities at its centres in Lesotho and Eswatini. Students from different disciplines bring their knowledge and skills to design lessons, exchange ideas, and learn alongside local teachers and children.
To celebrate the program’s 10th anniversary in 2027, we plan to recruit 12 students. The Dean of Academic Affairs, Professor Lin, will oversee program planning and curriculum development, while designated faculty members will accompany and lead the team overseas. Through interdisciplinary learning, self-directed learning, A-PBL project-based learning, and AI-integrated teaching, participants will put their academic knowledge into practice.
Planned activities include using generative AI to develop lesson ideas, create teaching materials, and support communication across languages. Participants will also incorporate Scratch programming and interactive activities into lessons tailored to the children’s learning needs. Exchanges with local teachers on PBL and AI-assisted teaching will provide opportunities to share teaching methods and extend the benefits of the program.
Students from all disciplines are welcome! If you are eager to learn and share your skills, join us for pre-departure training, collaborative lesson planning, and hands-on service overseas—and become part of our 10th-anniversary story.
